Pearl
Oyster (pleurotus ostreatus) is a native
oyster mushroom which thrives on poplar and willow,
but is equally at home growing on birch, chestnut,
beech or sycamore. With a great meaty texture
and pleasing seafood-like taste, it
is especially appealing to vegetarians and vegans.
Prefering autumn and winter
to fruit - when daytime temperatures drop below 15degC
- our hardy, reliable, and productive strain can easily
be grown in
most gardens or allotments.
