An excellent autoclaveable mushroom growing bag suitable for professional and hobby growers. The 2 kg to 4 kg capacity is perfect for sterilised sawdust and woodchip which are commonly used when cultivating wood-loving gourmet mushrooms. This bag is suitabe for all mushroom species including Lion’s Mane and Reishi. Fully autoclaveable and certified up to 125 deg.C.
For pasteurised substrates such as straw and coffee grounds, our Super Aerated Grow Bags should be used.
Made using PPD, the bag remains supple and flexible post sterilisation, and provides the perfect air-exchange for mycelium to grow quickly and evenly, making it much more effective than using DIY bags. We have used many different types of spawn bags and these are the best by far.
The filter strips act like mini HEPA filters and provide a carefully balanced gas exchange rate without drying out the substrate or spawn, whilst remaining a firm barrier against microorganisms and retaining excellent physical strength when autoclaved. These bags can be autoclaved sealed as long as the air is purged from the bag prior to sterilisation.
