Timber Selection
Reishi mushrooms can be grown on a variety of timber diameters, including stumps. A popular method developed in the Orient uses short logs 30 to 50 cm in length with a diameter of 10 to 15 cm, that are buried vertically into plant pots or similar well draining containers. 1 metre logs are buried horizontally in the ground and then partially covered, ensuring the top of the log remains visible.
